Filaments

PLA (Polylactic acid)

Colors available: transparent, silver, light blue, white, black, red, yellow

Good tensile strength and surface quality, user-friendly for both home and office environments, PLA allows the creation of high-resolution parts.

Applications:
Household tools, toys, educational projects, show objects, prototyping, architectural models...

Non-suitable for:
Food contact and in-vivo applications. Long term outdoor usage or applications where the printed part is exposed to temperatures higher than 50 ˚C.

ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)

black, blue, red, silver

Used by an array of industries worldwide, ABS is known for its exceptional mechanical properties.
Excellent mechanical properties and interlayer adhesion, nice aesthetics .

Applications:
Visual and functional prototyping and short run manufacturing.

Non-suitable for:
Food contact and in-vivo applications. Long term UV exposure can negatively affect properties of an ABS print. Applications where the printed part is exposed to temperatures higher than 85 ˚C.

There is also the possibility to treat the printed object with acetone-vapor to receive a glossy finish.

PVA (Polyvinyl alcohol)

natural

PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) is a water soluble support material for multi-extrusion 3D printing.

PVA provides good adhesion to PLA and Nylon.

TPU95A (Thermoplastic polyurethane)

white

TPU 95A filament is the go-to choice for a wide array of manufacturing projects that demand the qualities of both rubber and plastic.

TPU 95A is a semi-flexible and chemical resistant filament with strong layer bonding.

Exceptional wear and tear resistance, high impact strength, Shore-A hardness of 95, up to 580% elongation at break, and good corrosion resistance to many common industrial oils and chemicals.

Applications:
Functional prototyping, grips, guides, hinges, sleeves, snap-fit parts and protective cases.

Non-suitable for:
Food contact applications and in-vivo applications. Long term UV and/or moisture immersion and applications where the printed part is exposed to temperatures higher than 100 ˚C.

PC (Polycarbonate)

black, transparent

With PC filament, you can print strong and tough parts that retain dimensional stability when subjected to temperatures as high as 110 ˚C.

High toughness (especially for the non-transparent filament options), temperature resistance, flame retardant characteristics, dimensionally stable, strong interlayer bonding (especially when using the front enclosure add-on), good bed adhesion (especially when using adhesion sheets). Allows printing of translucent parts with the transparent filament option.

Applications:
Lighting, molds, engineering parts, tools, functional prototyping and short run manufacturing.

Non-suitable for:
Food contact and in-vivo applications. Applications where the printed part is exposed to temperatures higher than 110 ˚C.

CPE (Copolyester)

black, white

Excellent chemical resistance, toughness and dimensional stability, good interlayer adhesion.

Applications:
Visual and functional prototyping and short run manufacturing.

Non-suitable for:
Food contact and in-vivo applications. Long term outdoor usage or applications where the printed part is exposed to temperatures higher than 70 ˚C

CPE+

black, white

Differences between CPE and CPE+

CPE’s tensile and flexural strength are higher, whilst CPE+ is formulated to be up to 10 times tougher

CPE+ features a temperature resistance of up to 100 ºC, while CPE is only resistant up to 70 ºC

Nylon (Polyamide)

transparent

Nylon is well-known for its impressive durability, high strength-to-weight ratio, flexibility, low friction, and corrosion resistance to alkalis and organic chemicals.

Very fine shapes should not be printed in nylon.

Applications:

Functional prototyping, tooling and industrial modelling.

Non-suitable for:
Food contact and in-vivo applications. Applications where the printed part is exposed to temperatures higher than 80 ˚.

SPECIAL MATERIALS

Copper-PLA

copper

PLA-based filament with about 80% copper. This incredible high filling with copper powder makes it possible to produce copper objects, which can hardly be distinguished from those of genuine copper.
The printed object can be brushed, grinded and polished to obtain a metallic glossy surface. You can also apply a patina effect to printed objects (picture).

PET-G

transparent, white, red transparent, blue transparent

Approved for contact with food and drink (FDA). High strength, toughness and temperature resistance. Good postprocessing properties: sanding, priming, painting with acrylic paints.

Phosphoreszierendes PLA

During the day: creamy white. In the dark: phosphorescent green

Mixture of PLA and phosphorescent pigments. Printed objects glow green in the dark.

Nylon-Carbon

black

This filament has a good heat and corrosion resistance. Nylon gives toughness and strength, while carbon ensures lightness and printability.

Printed parts are durable and have a good impact resistance, with a slightly metallic effect.

WOOD-PLA

light brown

PLA additivated with wood fibers.
